Comic Books & Film

Decided to dig up an old term paper I wrote for a film class I took WAAAY back during my 2nd semester at school.  It was about how comic books were the next medium that film studios want to adapt.  It probably has a lot of typos and grammatical errors, but I passed the class so I it turned out well.

Pretty lengthy, but I think its good.

An Update and Something Special

Finals are ALMOST COMPLETE!!! Yeah I'm on the verge on completing another semester and will be back to my old job at the theater. Which means I'll have plenty opportunities to watch newer movies and writing scripts of "The Popcorn Jockey Presents." In the meantime, check out my first riff on a short I went back and re-edited. Hope you find it funny.

Another Update

I've been absent from here from quite sometime and I am trying to do better at this update thing.  School started up again and I got while living down here as well.  Well the job isn't working out so well, so that may change in the next couple of days.  In the meantime, the next couple of reviews are going to be on films that have been out for a while in the style I've been doing as of now, where I find clips of the movie online and use that to help my review.  But now thats going to change, as I'm changing the format of "What's Playing" from a scripted show, to a V-Log style of show.  I think a scripted opening would still be a good way to open each new episode, but it will be faster for me to edit and put them out.  When it comes to the "The Popcorn Jockey Presents Series" I'm still working on scripts as I go to school at the same time, so the next one for that may take some time.

I really hopes this works out and to those who have watched my videos and view this blog, I appreciate the support.

Thank You

An Announcement to Everyone

Hello all!  No, I'm not dead! :-D

I like to take this opportunity to let everyone know I am still trying to write and shoot video reviews, but with my other job at the theater, most of my time is taken up. I think I figured that since I was able to put out the first episode of "The Popcorn Jockey Presents" I would have a certain momentum to write more scripted reviews, shoot them, and edit them.  BUUUUUT that wasn't the case...

HOWEVER, for the time being, I'll post up written reviews whenever I get a chance, and/or turn my "What's Playing" series into a half scripted, half improvised style of show.  Kinda like a V-Log, but not really.  If I happen to get one of my friends in the video I'll call them that, but if it's just me, I'll count it as another episode of WP.

So I appreciate the anyone who actually goes to this blog and read/watches what I have to say, and please stay tuned for more to come

Thank You.
